1. Calendar references

Our selected festival reference is the Sanatana Journey Hindu Festival Calendar 2026. We follow its month-by-month listings when its summary cards disagree. This source uses New Delhi; its dates are not independently calculated Pune timings.

Maharashtra public holidays follow the Government of Maharashtra 2026 notification. A festival date and a government holiday can differ.

For muhurats, our selected references are Drik Panchang marriage dates and Drik Panchang Griha Pravesh dates for Pune. November and December housewarming dates have been checked against the Pune listing. The 61 marriage-date entries were checked against the supplied Drik Panchang 2026 Pune calendar on 6 October 2026. Select 2026 and confirm the city before using either source. Calendar images may retain earlier listings; use the corrected text notes where a discrepancy is identified.

2. Reference Location

The original calendar dataset was prepared for Pune. Our selected festival reference uses New Delhi, and its dates must not be described as calculated Pune timings. The original geographic reference is:

• Time Zone: Indian Standard Time (IST, UTC+5:30)

Timings and observances naturally vary depending on geographic location and distance from this reference coordinate.

3. Panchang Calculation Notice

This website does not currently calculate daily Panchang values (such as tithi start/end times, nakshatra, yoga, or karana). The calendar provides date-level festival and public holiday listings as documented in our repository dataset.

4. Data Review Status Codes

To provide full transparency, all entries in data/calendar-events-2026.json are cataloged with one of three review status designations:

• verified: The observance date corresponds to a standard fixed calendar date or recognized civil holiday.
• requires_review: Conflicting dates exist across regional traditions; further review is required.
• unverified: Tentative observance date derived from preliminary calendar data awaiting independent verification.

5. Important User Advisory & Feedback

This website is intended for informational reference and general educational awareness. When planning life milestones, weddings, housewarmings, or religious ceremonies, users should always cross-verify dates and muhurat windows with an authorized family priest (Guruji) or a verified regional Panchang.
